Funding is available to assist researchers and postgraduate students to attend and present research on clay minerals (sensu lato) at conferences, workshops and related activities. The amount of money available in any given year is variable and will be determined by the Treasurer of the CMG in consultation with Officers of the CMG.
There are normally two application deadlines per year; the first is in January (next deadline 31st January 2017), and the second will be 6 months later.
Applications for bursaries to support attendance at the 2017 International Clay Conference (Granada, Spain) are welcomed. Note that the registration abstract deadine is 15 February 2016 .
If the scheme is oversubscribed, then preference will be given to those who are members of the Clay Minerals Group. The CMG reserves the right to make no awards.
