December 2008

The August issue of Mineralogical Magazine has been despatched to all subscribers, and we are now busy working on the October and December issues.

The September issue of Clay Minerals has been despatched, and the December issue is in press.

Applications forms for 2009 bursaries are now available. Please apply by 16th January 2009.

September 2008

It has been a busy summer - hence the lack of recent updates. Mineralogical Magazine is catching up on the delay. The June 2008 issue is now in press and the August 2008 issue is being prepared. We hope to catch up by the end of the year.

The GES8 meeting was a great success. Read about it here.

Check out the 'Nature's Treasures: Minerals and Gems' meeting. It looks like being a fun day of mineralogy for all.

MINERAL PHYSICS GROUP NEW COMMITTEE AND WEBSITE
A re-launched Mineral Physics Group under the chairmanship of Richard Harrison of Cambridge
University is holding a meeting on Magnetic Interactions 2008 in Edinburgh from 8–9 January 2008.
