These images are freely available to all to download for non-profit purposes, such as the teaching of clay mineralogy.

The mineral pictures which are archived on this site are saved as 200 pixel wide jpeg images, at a resolution of 72 dpi. In this format, they are available for use without charge, by members of the Mineralogical Society only, for private study, research or educational use compatible with the educational or research purposes of Higher Education Institutions; members may not use these images for purposes involving monetary gain.

Fees for commercial use of the images (or of higher resolution versions) by members, or for any use by non-members, can be negotiated by contacting liz.loeffler@bristol.ac.uk
