The Mineral Deposits Studies Group (MDSG)
of the Geological Society will host it's 33rd annual
meeting in Glasgow, Scotland at Glasgow University on
5-7th January 2010. The conference
brings together UK and international scientists for a
series of lecture and poster presentations, in which the
latest ideas on Mineral Deposits science are aired by
established academic, industrial and post-graduate
members and guests - all in an informal, welcoming
environment. Thanks to the generosity of our
sponsors, the meeting commences with a free MASTERCLASS
from two of our keynote speakers on the afternoon of 5th
January, and the main meeting features three exciting
keynote presentations:
All are welcome and Mineralogical Society members will receive a significant discount on registration costs. Student registration costs are nominal, and ALL students will receive a bursary (up to £80) at the meeting, thanks to the generosity of ours sponsors. The meeting will also include a lunchtime get-together of our student delegates on 7th January, where there will be a chance to meet and greet with academic and industrial geologists.
