Providing you are staying for the full duration of the conference, the fee will include some bus transfers from Inverness airport to Ullapool and back, an ‘ice-breaker’ reception and access to a full three days of talks (including lunch and refreshments).
Conference buses (i.e. those included in the registration fee) will run from Inverness airport leaving in the afternoon of Tuesday July 10th to arrive in time for the icebreaker (6 p.m.), and back to Inverness airport from Ullapool early on Saturday 14th to arrive around 11 a.m.. Delegates should plan their flights accordingly.
There is an additional charge of £20 per abstract for those wishing to submit abstracts (to be done at the same time as registration).
The ‘ice-breaker’, a chance to meet new people and/or catch up with old faces, will be held at the Ullapool Village Hall from 6–8 p.m. on Tuesday July 10th. The registration fee includes a couple of glasses of wine, beer of soft drinks and some finger food.
The meeting itself will be held in the Macphail Centre in Ullapool. Talks will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. within a single session and be held in the main theatre, followed by a poster session, whose size, duration and frequency will depend on interest. Registration includes morning and afternoon tea and coffee, lunch and the traditional couple of glasses of wine, beer or soft drinks at posters.
Note: Delegates are expected to arrange their own accommodation. However, special rates are available at The Caledonian Hotel. Make sure to use the reservation code “2805” to ensure you receive the reduced conference rate.
