Environmental Mineralogy Group and Geomicrobiology Network RiP 2026 – ‘Geo-Bio-Interfaces‘
September 8th-9th at the British Geological Survey, Keyworth, Nottingham
The Environmental Mineralogy Group and Geomicrobiology Network Research in Progress Meeting will bring together researchers to share emerging findings, discuss new ideas, and foster collaborations at the interface of minerals, microbes, and the environment. The meeting will provide a friendly and informal forum for scientists at all career stages to present ongoing research and exchange knowledge. Reflecting the theme of Geo–Bio Interfaces, in line with the new Mineralogical Society journal, the meeting will highlight research from across the broad fields of biogeochemistry, geomicrobiology, and environmental mineralogy.
The RiP is free to attend and kindly supported by the British Geological Survey.
We welcome everyone across the field of environmental mineralogy and geomicrobiology to present current work including laboratory technicians, Masters and PhD students, early career researchers and, researchers in industry. The RiP is an excellent opportunity to meet fellow scientists in a friendly environment and discuss ongoing work! The format (TBC) will be likely consist of a midday start on the 8th (September) with an informal meal in the evening followed by an early afternoon finish on the 9th.
