- and a form to complete if you wish to report an incident which has occurred at a Society event.
This form will be saved on a confidential Mineralogical Society server. A message will be sent immediately to the Executive Director who will decide on action to be taken. He will contact the affected person to ensure their safety. He will contact the event organizers to agree actions. If appropriate, a message will be sent to all of the delegates at the event, informing them of the incident and reminding them of the need to adhere to the Code of Conduct. Please contact the Executive Director via kevin@minersoc.org or via telephone if you wish to discuss what happens to your report.
The Society will follow its Disciplinary Procedure which involves informing some members of Council about the incident; details of your report will be shared with them, but not your name if you prefer to remain anonymous. Your report will be kept on confidential file until the disciplinary process is complete and for a further period of three years (to allow for appeals etc.). It will then be destroyed.
